Book Review: Trad Wife

I recently read Trad Wife by Saratoga Schaefer, and this one really pulled me in.
The premise immediately caught my attention, but what I loved most was how the story kept getting creepier and creepier as it went along. I’m not normally a horror reader, but I’d been seeing this one pop up on a lot of must-read horror lists this summer, so I decided to give it a try. I’m very glad I did.
By the end, I was genuinely squealing as I turned the pages.
It’s a creepy, unsettling thrill ride that kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next.
As a writer, I especially appreciated the point of view and the setting. The sense of isolation worked really well, and the atmosphere gradually builds the suspense without letting up.
Trad Wife is published by Crooked Lane Books. If you’re looking for something creepy and suspenseful, especially if you’re willing to venture outside your usual genre, I’d definitely recommend picking this one up.
